Culture Count in MII?

Hi everyone,

Has the number of cultures in Medieval II been posted anywhere? Rome had, what, 4 or 5? BI had an extra one or two I believe. The reason I ask is that I have planned my mod around seven cultures. BI also allowed the addition of cultures, which I think Dol Guldur wrote a tutorial on.

So, any information would be appreciated.

It seems like the cultures are much more complex now. The grouping I imagine is someting like:
England, France, HRE, Spain, Sicily, Scotland, Denmark, Portugal
Venice, Milan
Poland, Hungary
Russia
Byzantium
Timurids, Mongols,
Moors, Ottoman, Egypt
Aztecs
That is just my view. I have no clue how they will do things. Like I said earlier, I think this go around, the "cultures" are really just rough templates.
I assume that you will be able to create more.

REally no way to tell. But id say seven is well within probability.
