Are you toying with us, Callatian? You know of course that we will have your head on a pole before the day is over unless you reveal all!!!

He might well be referring to this - which appears to be an NTO project rather than a TTO project, not sure of the difference

So far with direct hex editing (and the help of some person that Sinuhet is referring to as a penguin) they appear to have been able to change some of the things on the select army screen - but they seem to have trouble actually making the battle load subsequently.

I'd seen that thread. I was hoping for something more.

    Hi!

I am sorry, however to apologise myslef, I am only in this my effort and I have only nights for it. On the other hand, there are also the objective reasons why the progress is now in some plateau ... The beahaviour of exe towards "new"/changed files is a bit different than was the case of RTW Demo. The part of the manipulating hardcode is the cause of slowing progress now. In RTW Demothe situation was far more simple - the hex editing required was a question of just few minutes and then the work was directed on retrieving info on modding the script files approprietally. As for retrieving this kind of info in MTW2 Demo I ahve done huge progress in last few days - the descr_battle.txt file is almost fully reconstructed (I dindt want to mimic it 100%, however it would be simple to retrieve the information fully) and this without some known methd how to extract pack files .... I have huge list of possible names and similar stuff as for script files modding. However the obstacle is now the hardcode. There is possiblity that the new things in script files are in conflict with some other info in some files in data.pack placed in other than agincourt folder. You could give some impulse/hint form your previous experiences in TWseries modding which all files are responsible/used in historical battles. But maybe there is some new "construction" typical for MTW2 engine only which is causing the crashes during loading the battle with error message "unspecified error" ...

I would be grateful for any hints to help me direct my other investigations.

    Bye Sinuhet

Agreed, I've seen the discussion in the TW thread and it's greatly contributing to a possible solution. Very good work, I wish I had even the slightest clue how to contribute.
