Need New Card

I had posted a long time ago explaining that I needed a new card, and after much research, I decided on a GeForce 6800. Unfortunately, money problems prevented me from buying it back then. It's been some time since I've bought a card, and so I'm now using a GeForce4 MX 440 which is painfully slow, so I've saved up money to buy a card.
I was thinking of getting GeForce 7950GT, but I can't deicde which specific one. What I want this card to be is fast and reliable, and I want to make sure it lasts me a while. Another thing is that I need it to be able to cool itself, since I've read complaints that these cards overheat. What do you suggest?
