I'm very excited; MTW ahs been my favourite so far and I can't wait for the updated version. All the nay-sayers can keep playing STW for all I care - I'm really, really looking forward to M2TW!

Over the past few months, I have been keeping an eye out on MTW2, however, I have not been avidly posting in any forum, or visiting any website.

This is infact, one of my first posts in many many months, possibly in one to two years!

I am indeed looking forward to it, but to pass the time, I am going to start a new Campaign as the Greeks in Vanilla RTW, and go on a conquering spree.

As well, I'll pass the time by playing me some Battlefield 2, but that is a entirely different genre of gameplay.

I just hope that I can scrouge up enough money to get the game on its first day!

I try to do something similar but it simply don't happen... I'm waiting, waiting days and nights, no sleep I'll become mad till the release I need some compensations from CA

I have put the release date of M2TW in my gsm calander. The day M2TW is released, it should start beeping. Not that I will forget that special day, but it is an extra pre-caution. :)

Well, for me it's more like 100 days to go - I'll have to wait for my new computer since I'm still running on an AMD XP 2400.
And I won't have the money to afford a new computer before Feburary...
ah, well. At least that gives me opportunity to install any patches that might come out until that point.

I'm almost at the 100 dollar mark. so I'm going to pre-order it this week. then, a day or two before I go get it, I'll order the 100 buck colelctions edition online, and pick it up at EB games (regular version), then when it comes in the mail (100 dollar one) I take the one I pre-order from the store,EB games back,get a full refund, and pay off the 100 dollar bill lol :-) :-)

It's quite sad, really. A few weeks ago I bought Company of Heroes - one of the best games I've played in a long time. Since the M2TW demo was released I haven't played it - it just doesn't seem to excite me any more. not that the M2TW demo is any good - personally I think it's rubbish - but I just know that the full game is gonna be awesome. I can't wait til I see the campaign map load for the first time and examine my settlements

I keep wanting to load CoH but there's just no castles so I can't bring myself to play it.

Senta email to Chris Wright Product Manager of THQ Asia Pacific asking if he could clear up wether Austrlia gets the Limited Edition adn when is the release date for Austrlia. Here is his reply I got today.

Hi tiny_titan,



The limited edition will be released in Australia but only certain retailers are stocking it.



We are putting out limited quantities and it will only be available if you pre-order it. You can pre-order it now from EB Games, Games Wizards and selected independent specialist retailers.



The SRP is $99.95, the same as the normal edition.



Harvey Norman are not selling the limited edition but will have a bonus Medieval II glass stein, which we are creating specially for them and which will be limited to Australia only.



The release date for Australia has not been pushed back to December. It will be November 23rd, one week after it releases in the UK.

Yes, that's exactly what it is. If it does run, good for me!

I'll still buy that new computer, though... I need SS2 for Adobe Premiere 2 anyway. Plus I wanted to check out these fabled 64bit CPUs ;)

I've ordered books from Australia before (they were not released here in the US yet :P ) and I did not have to pay the 10% GST. Which was nice, since shipping was about thirty bucks.

On a related note, here in the Great Satan sales tax depends on what you buy and where you are. In my home state, its only 5.5%, and only for non-comsumables. So, everything but food.

Ohh, and I should mention that I am waiting for reviews. Until that time, MTW for me.

I dont know if that means 10th Nov for Australia or worldwide, we will just have yo wait & see.

Of course M2TW is worth buying, its a Total War game, I am a big fan of the series & spend many a hour playing them. In my opinion M2TW will be better than Medieval because you will be able to do all of the things you wished you were able to do in the first Medieval & the improved diplomacy will make the games diplomacy feel more realistic instead of the scripted, inpersonal feel that it had in Medieval & the graphics are a big improvement oover the old sprites in Medieval as well.

Well done CA the demo is good, the screenshots and game trailers are looking very good & I dont think fans of the Total War series will be dissapointed
