evaluate my system for MTWII

Hi I have a Geforce FX 5600 video card
2.4 ghz
1 gb RAM
85.0 GB of free space

will MTWII run optimally on my system or should I upgrade?

I am sorry, but your system is low to mid range all across the board. Get a GeForce 6600 and you'll probably get to run the game on low to mid quality with no problem. At this point, even if you do manage to get the game to run, it will run poorly.

EDIT: Of course, if your plan is to invest in the future, I suggest you save up for a new computer (and a new gfx card to replace the shoddy integrated one that they dare call "factory standard")

Deoesn't the game require only a 1.5-1.8 gig processor? Mine's lower than his(2.2) and the people in the thread said it was fine(it is a dual core, and he doesn't say whether his is).

. I said it would work. It just won't run very well on high settings, when you have a giant field filled with detailed terrain and thousands of detailed little soldiers running around while under arrow and artillary fire.

You should try the demo, it's probably the best way to sample it.

For me with

P4 2.6
1.5GB RAM
GT6600 128

...the demo runs smoothly with mid to high settings.

didint you know? i saw in TWC forums that their will be a new demo with SSE not SSE2(it gives low fps) i have 6600 i can play all on high except for the units on superhigh with slight lag. i bet when the new demo comes out i can play everything on high!

I've got a gig of RAM and I'm getting the demo on Medium, with a few nice unit textures on high, and vegetation/grass on lower. Runs fine. Don't overestimate it too much, its still the Rome engine, pixel shader 2.0 etc...

512 RAM (I'll upgrade to 1 when I get more money)
80 GB Hard Drive
Radeon X1300 256MB
from what I can tell, my comp can run it mid range,mabye high,won't know till I get it..
