Can't start EB

Whenever I try to load up EB, I get a message saying something about error in desc_event_images.txt, error registaring faction_defeated_by_player. I've tried redownloading it a few times, and even reinstalled it, though I want to avoid doing that again, as it didn't want to reinstall -_-

Hmm. I tried the FAQ's method, but as stated, it didn't work - Can anyone link me to a download for the 1.2 patch, EB 1.2 and EB 1.4 that definetely work?

The links off the site should work, sometimes files get corrupted during the download process. You need to delete the old ones, and re-download them.

Guys EB is an Open Beta it has not reached 1.0 yet the first public release was v0.7.2 the latest patch is v0.7.4 and we are all eagerly (and patiently ) awaiting v0.8 hope that helps clear up any misconceptions.

I have the same problem but i cannot install patch 1.2 an error message pops up when it is extracted.

Can anyone help me!!I installed RTW vanilla,the patch 1.2, the EB version 7.2 and then 7.4 patch....Help mE.....I beseech you all....WHAT IS THE SOLUTION.....heeeelppp!!!

The problem is that 1.2 is not installed properly. Try going into the Europa Barbarorum file, then the docs folder. Inside there should be a patch readme telling you once opened what version is installed. If not 1.2 you will have to either gut the programme and do a fresh install of RTW to version 1.2 or, you can manually copy and paste the files from version 1.2 into the data and docs files. The uninstalled zip folder should be below the data folder. Open it to get to all the files that need to be installed then copy each one and paste it into the relevant folder. This can take some patience but it does work as long as you do everything in its order. So first uninstall Europa so that you are back to RTW and do the checks that I mentioned. Then do as I suggested and you will get there.

Well I did everything and still it doesn't work.. too bad..

It works now. I did the following, I reinstalled the game, then downloaded the CORRECT patch (from http://www.strategyinformer.com/dlre...a%2FiwoQ%3D%3D) Pretty fast download! I installed the patch, and then EB 0.7.2 and after that 0.7.4 now it works fine
