which is your favorite medieval faction?

Right now, it's the Turks. Playing a campaign as them right now, and I really enjoyed blitzing the Egyptians.

Germany,Poland or Italy. Very Good Starting Postions, Can win usally in 100-200 years,which is pretty good (with cheats :-) :-/)

Well, I voted for the Turks, because of all the cool hybrids - I like my Ottos and various horse archery-types, and of course the Janisseries when they are available. Also no hassle from the Pope.

But really my favourite faction is the one I happen to be playing at the time (right now that's Genoa in XL), but I also love the English (when you can get the Longbowmen out of the pub .... thanks for a good belly-laugh, ProfSpatula!!), the Mongol Horde and the Armenians in XL, and Irish and Welsh in VI. Oh, and Crimean Khanate in PMTW as well....

So, if I like horse-archer armies so much, wonder why I've never tried the Hungarians yet???? Hmmmm....

As someone else said, it's usually the faction I'm playing at the moment... I had a good campaign with the Aragonese last week, that was fun. But now I've just installed xl, so I'm going bananas with all the new factions. Can't make up my mind.
