It would be the Danes for me. Something about that viking blood that draws me in. I also love the axe troops.

For King and Country!!!
Hmpf. Looks like only I and Mithrandir appreciate the greatness of the Almohads
Berber camels, Almohad Urban militia, militia sergeants, Faris, Murabutin javelineers...their only real weakness is their lack of a decent spear unit, but I work around that.
It feels kinda odd to send militiamen abroad to conquer the world, though.
i voted england, because they (geographically) are the closest to the mighty Scottish army
IN Total War I Trust!!
The Foolish Horseman, previously known as GBB
Hey, dont get me wrong, I do like the Almohads. But I like England and Italy better. But I still have to say, Byzantines are my favorites! They are killing in the polls, although England is not far behind.
TosaInu shall never be forgotten.
I discovered their greatness last week. A whole campaign in a single night!Originally Posted by Kralizec

Theyre not really a faction i see much of, most of my campaigns are down the east side of the map.
If this is about the best faction, then it's as follows in my, oh so humble, opinion:
1. The Unstoppable Turks
2. The Magnificent Egyptians
3. The Mighty Almohads
If it's about my favourite faction, then I would say:
1. The Unstoppable Turks
2. The Heroic Spanish
3. The Legendary Byzantines
Other factions worth a mention:
The Honourable Hungarians
The Indefatigable Novgorods
For a very interesting campaign, the Novgorod campaign (early) is very worthwhile. Even writing about it here makes me want to abandon my current campaign as the Turks and plunge into a Novgorod campaign again. The Byzantine high campaign is also very interesting. The best Hungarian, Spanish and Almohad campaigns are the early period ones IMHO. All of the Turks campaigns are interesting and very worthwhile. The Egyptians in high is also interesting, with some French neighbours to deal with. Of all the factions the Hungarians are the most unusual. Though a catholic faction they can train horse archers and their own horse archer unit the Szekely. This makes them an interesting catholic faction.
