I'm sure its listed somewhere in the forum..

1. unpack custom_locations.txt, using the unpacker available under tools\unpacker; read the ReadMe.txt for details on the unpacker
2. edit the custom_location.txt following the format. the coordinate is as per given by battle editor
3. create a shortcut for <pathname>\medieval2.exe --io.file_first

Only custom_location.txt is required, so you need only to unpack this file.

It's been a long time since I last modded, but I think you can edit it with Windows Notepad, or any other simple text editor.
