Questions about Full game...

Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone had answers for the following questions:

1) Teutonic Knights - Will you be able to dismount them? Obviously they fought on foot as well as on horseback. Are they recruitable for the HRE or are they special units only for Crusades or something?

2) Will infantry units have any other special formations besides the phalanx-like formation of spear units? (eg. shield wall, etc)

3) Longbowmen...Yeoman Archers? Same thing or seperate units? If so, which is better?

As far as I know, we still haven't figured out if mounted units can actually dismount, or you just recruit the two separately; my money is on the former being true.

As for the second bit, I believe that they're not faction-specific; they're either Crusade units (most likely), recruitable via a sort of special guild building or some such (possible), or both (unlikely).

I know of at least the schiltron formation being in. Pavise archers have been mentioned, so presumably there is a "formation" where they deploy those. I don't know about others, but I wouldn't be particularly surprised to see others.

3) Longbowmen...Yeoman Archers? Same thing or seperate units? If so, which is better?

My guess is that they're the same thing; yeoman were longbowman, basically.

I'd imagine Teutonic Knights would be HRE only. I have no information to confirm this (or if they're even in the game). But a quick google gives this info.

You can choose to dismount some knights before a battle but im not sure about teutonic ones

So you are able to dismount units before the battle?but only before or also in the middle of the battle?and how are you sure of this?

I think it would be logical to be able to dismount troops only at the beginning of a battle, before u have actually clicked on "Start battle".
