You probably know what the rules of a dream team are.
Apply them to EB and we have a fun discussion.
So the basic concept is you have 20 unit slots to make an army and you have no limits as to what you can choose - you can choose units from any factions, with no price limit and any amount of duplicates. For example you could have all your cavalry parthian and all your infantry roman triarii or something crazy like that... Imagine the flanking you could do with that.

So just post some lists of perfect/weird/funny/brutal armies so we can speculate and say "What if...".

As I am severely biased, I shall say..... any army that is Carthaginian.

Very solid infantry centre and very tough flanks! Also the Cavalry archers are deployed three on both flanks, and loop around, hitting everything in the rear.

1 Heavy cavalry (Hetairoi/helenestic kataphraktoi)
3 Sphendonetai
3 Peltastai
4 Shock infantry (This being either: ethiopiai agemata/Merjoz/thorakitai argyraspidai or gaesatae)
8 units of heavy spearmen (kleruchoi agemata/pezhetairoi/chaeonian guard)

Thats my settup :), i normally play with eastern factions so its also visible in my choise of units and battle tactics

Pretty much my main army in the war against the Seleukids.

Two hellen generals, with lot's of experience (a three silver, and a two golden chevroned general), about 4 units of seasoned thorakitai, 5 unit's of HA's with each 3 to 6 experience, 2 units of Hippeis Thessalikoi with 3 experience, and the rest mistophoroi pikemen with also 3 experience each.

It probably get's beaten by every other dream team like army, but it's fun to play with because it's a very tactically flexible army, it doesn't rout, and more important: it's possible! You can actually have it in game.

That is, if you just stick to EB and don't start fiddling with the recruitment yourself. Also, since it has beaten 5 stacks of annoying Seleukids (mainly thorakitai units plus pezhetairoi units + generals) in a row...

And when my anti Epeiros campaign is done, I'll be throwing my main army over there in the Eastern game, containing a three golden chevroned general.

1 general, in Hellenic Kataphract armour, of the best design.
2 units of Repeating Ballistas
3 units of Hellenic Kataphracts.
2 units of Carthaginian African Elites(the Romanized ones)
2 Units of Triarri(chainmail)
2 units of Eastern Heavy archers(the Roman ones)
4 units of mixed elite pikemen(Kleurhoroi,African, and Agrypispides)
4 units of the Persian Royal Archers(The ones with the scalemail, which retain speed, and still are horsearchers)

Yes, the perfect elite army, no elephants to go insane though.
