    Default FBE's blog entry

I'm on holiday and so may have missed a thread about it, but a big congrats should go to Frogbeastegg for her great TW Community blog entry. It's a very inspiring look behind the curtain at all the work she does, well done Froggy!

Nice blog, Froggy. Regardless of how ordinary you may think yourself to be, it's always interesting to get a little insight on our resident Geisha girl.

Indeed. She is without a doubt one of the Org's (and the TW community's) most valuable and respected members, and this forum would've been a much poorer place without her.

What's even more amazing is that she's still humble after all these years, despite her legions of adoring fans/suitors.

lol I'm reading the blog i through she was a guy to at first :P you don't see too many female war gamers, let alone ones that love the games enough to write massive guides for them..I felt pretty closed minded when i realized she was a girl from a sentence in one of her guides lol i had just assumed dumby that it was a guy :P.

Don't worry, ProudNerd. Many Orgahs have made the same erroneous assumption (in regards to FBE's gender), and you assuredly won't be the last. Fortunately, she doesn't hold it against anyone--I think she's all too aware of how few female wargamers there are!

    Shamelessly plug in clan's propaganda:
At one time Freedom Fighters had 6 of those (Tempi, Uni, Trish, Heart, Froggy, Annie) :) :)

There are a few more multiplayer girls around aswell, at least 8 players pops into my head. Meg, Scar, Swoosh, Berke, Lina, Yogu and two in one of the "new clans", GOS.

Nearly the same with me. I read her MTW guide, then joined the org and after that became a Total War freak! At least I know who to blame

    Hooray Froggy
Very good guide guide, I especially liked the bit where you talked about your motives

Froggy is indeed an Org legend As I was reading the blog I was wondering whether to mention her dyslexia so people realise how much more effort it has been for her as opposed to someone without it. But then she brought it up anyway

I'm glad you've overcome the problem Froggy, I remember way back when, your spell checker broke and you were posting un-corrected text. It was the first time I realised just how much of a problem it made things for you,and how much more effort was involved on your part. So to see that you don't need such electronic help anymore makes me very, very happy

And why the heck not? Hmmm, clearly CA know what a legend you are in teh community (hence blog, invite to press day), The Official FBE Guide to MTW2 would be a helluva lot better than the "official" one we normally get palmed off with.

Hmmm, maybe I should start another boycott campaign. "I will not buy MTW2 unless Froggy does the Official Strategy Guide"

    Thanks again

I am a very humble froggy. Modest, gentle, kind, shy. Incidentally, this frog-worship thread is five weeks overdue. Next time keep a closer eye on your calenders or heads will roll.

Ah yes, the old days before RTW hit [FF]. Battles and cookery tips ... oddly I remember getting more recipies from Louis than anyone else. Good ones too; I still do some of them.

Mount Suribachi, now you mention it I remember that time without my spellchecker. I struggled to divine what my own garbled words meant. Glad I shall never have to do that again, at least not so long as I'm on a PC. Writing with pen and paper I still struggle; words and letters come out in the wrong order, I sometimes get certain letters confused, and my handwriting is dire. It loosk much thsi lkei, but scripply (scribbly!)

ha! Although I have never joined in on one of those "Petition CA To Do X" threads, that's one I would have to support
