I spoke too soon: the 40kB/s only lasted for a few minutes then it slowed down and stopped after 13% of the file. Started again but only getting 10 kB/s now. At this rate it'll be done by 10th November.

I haven't got the link, though if it is that slow I might wait till it is available elsewhere. On the other hand I only have a 1 meg connection so it is gonna be slow either way.
