So I don't need to be tolerant of those "freaks" who want to force my kids to pray to their particular god in school, or teach their fairy tale stories in science classes?
No.

According to who? The majority? I really dont put much faith in what the majority deems correct or incorrect behavior. What is normal and what is freakish is subject to change. Cultural norms should never be used to cruelly demean those who dont fit into a particular box.
You were talking about instincts. Objectively speaking, this behavior is unusual and goes against how the vast majority of people behave instinctually.

What doesnt make sense to me is demeaning these people by calling them immature names that are reminiscent of the school yard. The vast majority of these people dont choose to feel the way they wish, just as people dont choose their race or their eye color.

Its like if you dont remember to label them, they'll take over or something.
From Merriam-Webster:
Freak: 3 : one that is markedly unusual or abnormal

Crazed makes the point that women will feel uncomfortable. That's why it's important for this to be allowed. Gay people hugging in public makes a lot of people uncomfortable as well. If they see it often enough society will eventually accept it and we have less homophobia. It's the only way to change things.
I have heard that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Accordingly, I fail to see how public displays of gay men hugging will dissuade the truly homophobic. It also seems you are lumping people who don't like to look at gay men hugging in with homophobes.

Sasaki, if you were talking about transexuals just being out in public, than that's one thing. But it is quite another for them to invade the private space of the bathroom. Forcing people to get used to something doesn't make it right.
