Well, for one thing, I have to give them credit for actually answering some questions instead of making new ones.
That, and I'm glad that the main plotline of the first few episodes was resolved, albeit not fully. However, I think that perhaps the producers answered a little too much (I know, go stare at me in shock). I mean, it's kind of evident that most of the Others were, in fact, captives held by a select few, and they were probably taken due to their medical expertise. I suspect that they're going to try to fully "convert" Jack into one of them. The first step has already been taken by them agreeing to let his friends go and ridding him of the person most hostile to the crash survivors (that Pickett guy).
The Ben being Alex's father is also significant (the French lady was his mother) too. But I suspect that that won't come into play for a while.
All in all, I actually liked the episode, but am worried that in order to please the fans, the producers are going to reveal too much too quickly. But the commercial break every ten minutes was annoying.
