    Default chemical warfare

Ever thought about what use you plaque infested towns could do. Really try this on for size, train a spy in the infested city, and send him to spy on one of your enemy's large city's. Then the plaque will spread in that city killing garrisons and population, and the after the plaque just move in and take over the remnants of the city

Indeed, this is can be a very effective strategy, one that has been gaining some popularity with the community.

Use caution though - make sure the plague has "burned out" of the city before you take it, or else you'll find yourself with a sickly army!

Plaque infested towns? So they don't have any dentists there?

    ..........OK, not that funny.........

Anyway, this is an interesting strat, I didn't even know you could do that to an enemy town. Still doesn't beat launching didease-infested cows over the walls though.

That is an evil strategy. I like it. Something I like to do is send over an infected person from one of my cities into another one of my cities if there is unrest. Good form of population control.

Just never put your plague infected spy onto one of your ships. They never recover. I transported one such spy in a ship across to enemy lands, then had the ship join my best fleet. Thus infecting every single ship with the plague. It seems there's nowhere to run when you have the plague at sea - except overboard!

You also have to be wary of enemy spies doing the same thing to you. I've had 20 years of plague hell when 2-3 enemy spies with the plague kept moving back and forth from town to town, continuously infecting the populace. I set up a ring of spies, assassins and so forth to stop them, but it wasn't until the settlements had lost most of their population that the plague ended and the enemy spies were finally killed.
