Thread: Top Ten Backroom Threads
We got started on this in another thread, but it made me laugh hard enough to move it on its own. Let's classify the most common types of Backroom threads. And to make it more interesting, let's rank them by frequency.
Backroom threads:
List the ones I'm forgetting, and I'll ad 'em. Also, I'm wide open to suggestions on how these should be ranked. For neatness' sake, I'd like to keep it to Top Ten.
Backroom threads:
- Liberals = bad
- Bush = bad
- Muslim extremists
- Everything bad is America's fault
- Religion (evolution, atheism, You Are All Heretics, abortion)
- Gun control
- News of the weird
- Stupid human tricks (nailing one's scrotum to rooftop, etc.)
- Those crazy Europeans (esp. Brits)
- A horrible crime

Speaking of your top ten, I think "bad president" is ambiguous. If you were talking about presidents in general, I disagree that it's a hot topic. If you were talking about bush, let's just call it so then
I also kinda disagree with "bad atheists". I think it's more like "bad atheists", but also "bad believers". Not sure if this should be two separate topics, or a single "bad religion & non-religion" one.

I figured you could all rip my list to shreds, and then we could build one out of consensus. But if that doesn't work, I have no problem with everybody creating their own Top 10. Just figured it would be amusing to try to consolidate the most common types of threads into one list.

Okay, so I guess I need to put a little structure onto this exercise.
(1) As Xiahou has done, go ahead and name anything I've listed that doesn't deserve to be in the Top 10.
(2) List anything that you think should be included.
(3) We'll worry about ranking the list once we've been a few rounds on what should or shouldn't be there.

Major Robert Dump's 'Have your ever crapped your pants' thread was pretty funny. It should definitely be in the top ten, even if it is unique.
Stupid people nailing there nuts to the roof should be around the top 10. :D

Apparently atheists are a form of religion according to some... so I think it's covered in the number 1 thread. Hmm, I'd say religion isn't number 1.
ALso, we need a category for 'Terrible American laws and evil American Actions', and 'crime and punishment' and maybe 'terrorists and Muslim fanatics are evil'. Not that I agree with those, but those are categories of threads we see often.

Muslims need to be higher up the list, at least at the moment, same with crazy euros - i dont think religion is number 1 
This may be a subset of the current item 9, but I think it is more wide-ranging than that (since the Brits get wound up too) so I would suggest 'Iraq' as a serious contender for the top ten, and I would place it in the top four by sheer volume.
