I'd rather be the leader of a small Gallic village than be the second man of Rome - Julius Caesar.
Quintili Vare, legiones redde - Caesar Augustus
I was in the TW site.I found a link who says Strategic Modding Academy.I registede in, but there arent any guides to mod.I googled forums and i entered the totalwar.com forums.I was finding a guide, and i clicked in a link who directed me here.I joined such as Decius Curtius, but i forgot the password. The next day, I created a new account called Caius Flaminius, and I'm here!
Names, secret names
But never in my favour
But when all is said and done
It's you I love
talk on the mtw lobby and also .net (lurked for maybe ayear - then joined)
I came after the .com site went downhill fast. I got sick of threads being closed 'just in case' anyone broke the rules (ie- before any rules had been broken)![]()

There is only so many power-happy moderators that a man can stand. Havent really been back since...has it changed much?
"England expects that every man will do his duty" Lord Nelson
"Extinction to all traitors" Megatron
"Lisa, if the Bible has taught us nothing else, and it hasn't, it's that girls should stick to girls sports, such as hot oil wrestling and foxy boxing and such and such." Homer Simpson
Nah didn't change really, apart from the fact other people became mods.
People like Elmo and Duck are still around.
That's for me the reason of coming here too. Not being happy with .com. But I still am a regular patron there, mainly to annoy the mods tho.
There was a job opening a few years back. I needed the money, I applied, I got hired.
Abandon all hope.

Those guys piss me off too much to even post there, I lurked a bit but really, I've never seen so many locked topics![]()
Anyway, I just googled total war in Google![]()
meh that's down to the new n00b mods they have.
3 weeks ago, I almost made a daily thread entitled:
Why aren't the locked threads moved to the Graveyard?
tbh they don't bother with the MTW2 forums anymore, we get 2 pages of new threads a day. Far too much to handle for the mods.
But anyway I'm not going to discuss it, there's an excellent forum for me if I want to bash CA and .com, and it isn't here
after i played MTW i really needed helps on battle. (MTW was first Total War game for me) i look at Froggy's guide to MTW and later on i felt like joining.
cool. Seems like Almost all of the people here came to .org for help with MTW or RTW or something, and only a few came just to cause touble (Just joking :-)) lol

Four stage strategy from Yes, Minister:
Stage one we say nothing is going to happen.
Stage two, we say something may be about to happen, but we should do nothing about it.
Stage three, we say that maybe we should do something about it, but there's nothing we can do.
Stage four, we say maybe there was something we could have done, but it's too late now.
Are there even any good Mods for STW still? I don't even know..
Right when the original MTW came out I just googled this forum. Been a lurker for years and only recently started posting here.

cool. I found this fourm, ethier in 2002 or 2004, as a lurker, but didn't start coming till Febrauby, got banned from Early June-Late Setember, then got un-banned :)
While looking for some answers to questions I had about MTW I walked up-hill ten miles in the snow both ways to get here.

Be well. Do good. Keep in touch.
Somewhere in early 2003 I tried registering here as a result of my activities in MTW's multiplayer, but something went wrong and my account wasn't activated. Eventually, I drifted to Total War Center, but came back here for reasons even I've forgotten. This forum's just that good![]()

Cool Guys. I went to TWC, Made 10-20 posts or so, but came back here not soon after :-) :)
Time to revive this thread...
From what I remember, I came here after I played M2TW demo from a PC game mag DVD. Then, I searched for infos about M2TW and stuff then somehow I ended up here...

I confess I no longer remember how it was I first stumbled onto the Org -- probably through a link at the offical site, but I can't swear to it. All I know is that I lurked here for almost a year and a half before finally deciding to join up. (It's hard to believe now, but at that time I was extremely "forum-shy", and hadn't really participated in message boards before then.) What finally won me over was how everyone here was both intelligent and courteous in their conversations....and (as I realized later) extremely helpful as well. As a rule, Orgahs really know how to make a person feel at home.![]()

I think it might have been thanks to EB.
I was looking through threads on Gamefaqs (what a horrid place that could be...) and found something about EB, I followed the link here, and for more than a year lurked around, never deciding myself about signing up. Finally, in January, why I don't remember, I signed up. And that was it.

Back.
I just found it on Google when looking for mods. Found EB and then signed up.
Though I hardly ever post I do read a lot of topics.
I was at the com. enjoyed it (Hagiographers, Tarrak Interactives, supporting NTW).
After Hagiographers fell through, I heard discussion about the .org, and decided to take a look around. I liked it, signed up, and have come here regularly ever since.

Re: Pursuit of happiness
Have you just been dumped?
I ask because it's usually something like that which causes outbursts like this, needless to say I dissagree completely.
I was trying to search for RTW unit stats and came across this forum.
Several weeks later, I tried to search for BI unit stats. Failing that, I was looking for guides that hopefully had unit stats in them, and was again directed to FrogBeastEgg's excellent guide, which I recognized. I bookmarked the site and, days later, I stumbled into Scriptorium and started tumbling down the modding hole. :)

before you ask a RTW modding question make sure you have done these things:
1. At least read these two stickies in the Modding Questions forum: Introduction and Welcome
2. used the search function (upper right corner of your screen) to know if your Q has been asked before.
3. browsed the Modding Answers subforum, and the Scriptorium.

I came here thanks to EB's official site and lurked for some months before posting anything. The Monastery and the friendliness of the people here kept me. And now you're stuck with me.
t'was attracted to froggy's MTW guide.
I was down on my luck ... looking for work
I met this guy at my local pub, he had tattoos on his arms and kept buying me drinks
I was pretty drunk but I have this vague memory of being punched repeatedly and put into the back of a van
and I woke up here
