    Default To everyone who complains about unified gaul/germania/iberia

    Well yes germans start off unified and gaul starts off unified and so does iberia but what about in EB where we have armenians building a massive empire and taking over sarmatia and germans with massive empire over a period of time even when their lands are really poor. At least in the latest version of RTR (PE 1.7 not official but close to) EVERY AI expands realisticly or very close to. Unlike in EB where small barbarian tribes start massing stacks after stacks and there is no way to stop it even if you take their sources of income. My point is EB is a hell of a lot less realistic 50 years down the track. Let alone the ptlemaic and carthaginian desert wars lets not even go there.... Macedonia gets a bit big but they were expanding in those directions during the RTR timeframe though. Let alone the fact that there is no way to get realistic farming as shown in RTR PE AE 2.1 or negitiable rivers.

    Hey it's Drakarbitor.

    I don't see the point with this topic. A unified gaul, germen and Iberia is unrealistic. That is just how it is.

    And yeah, it's a shame the AI don't behave as they wish.

    But really.. what is the point with thias topic? To bash EB? We all know the AI expand unrealiticly. And I'm sure it's something they are trying to fix in 0.8.

    Maybe the PE 1.7 have a more realistic expansion.. but I don't see how it concerns EB. I don't think they really care about how PE 1.7 is better.

    There is ALOT of other thing EB does better/more realistic. Do you think the RTR-guys care about that?

    EB has always strived to set the table well, if you will, and let the players decide where to go from there. We give each faction a historical starting point and capabilities, and incent them to expand in ways that reflect their peoples' goals, but do not and will not force them to act historically. If everything were exactly the same I would find that very boring.

    We feel we have the most historically accurate mod, but do not begrudge others their choices. We welcome civil discourse on the subject; this thread is not that. If you must introduce the RTW modding version of "My daddy can beat up your daddy" childishness I suggest doing it where people might care about it (the dead post graveyard?). Please do not do so here, we don't tolerate mod-bashing contests.

    Please allow me to pass along a life lesson that may assist you when you are older: It is never a good idea to attempt to justify one's own mistakes by pointing out the real or perceived mistakes of others. It only drops your own credibility and makes you look bad.

    (Note to self: Never have children.)
