Ireland?

Is it true Ireland starts off in the Game as Independant? Is there any way you would be able to play as it? Simple question. And one other also. In the original Medieval game you could choose early middle or late Stages for the Dar kages. Like starting at 1050 I think it was. oR 13 someting? Will medieval two be like this or will you have to play from one date onwards? Thank you

Ireland starts as a rebel provence and no you can't play as it, although some moders have discussed whether to include in thier mods. The main campaign starts at a fixed date of 1080, there are no longer eras.

That is the thing I miss the most, the era's were one of the best bits of the game and now they are gone, that is really annoying, though i am sure that a mod will come out that puts them back in.

I can't believed they took out the Eras. kinda deafets the whole Purpose of playing MTW2, SP and MP..

There are eras in MP and custom battles... though not in the campaign.

eras are available for MP, but not for SP, if i'm not mistaken.

oops, forgot the were in MP (good!). They take it out of SP, but keep it in MP. I see why,to try to get MP players to come back,like myself. But it defeats the fun in SP without Eras in SP though..
