All the nations seem to have really fleshed out rosters except egypt, scots and byzantines which seem utterly rushed. Come to think of it the Russia roster is a bit stale too, and their campaign performance has clearly not been tested. Aside from those i love all the other factions. I just hope someone adds more units to the muslim and eastern-european factions.

The Byzantines really got the shaft. Has anyone tried them in MP? I can't imagine how they'd survive, they have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Since the Varangians are useless their infantry is mediocre at best. Kataphraktoi are the weakest heavy cav in the game. Their archer's aren't as good as England or the Muslim factions. All they have are the Vadblahblahblahfart horse archers, who are hardly a war winning unit. Sigh...they were one of my favorite factions too.

The Moors. Not because they have a bad roster (they don't), a boring starting position (they certainly don't) or because they're Muslims (like I care). But... Green-and-orange striped djellabahs ? Ugh ! Mod'em plain white, or that deep blue shade the modern Touareg use, I'll play them. Right now, they deeply offend my aesthetic sense

The Scots. Why they've gone from perma-revolting exotic rebels to a fully fleshed faction I really have no clue... I mean, I love them claymore-swingin' amadans as much as the next guy who's watched Braveheart, but did they (as a kingdom, not as a people/culture) have any Europe-wide influence I'm not aware of, besides their on-and-off warfare against the English ? Just wouldn't feel right to, say, free Jerusalem with Highlanders. Plus the whiskey supply-train involved alone would ruin me

The Rus also don't have much of an appeal to me, but that's probably because I know less than nothing about them, their culture or their history...

I think the Scots were a good inclusion to be honest,it enables both sets of players on both sides of the border here to play out a bit of history and is more relevant and interesting to me personally than many other nations and their history. The only problem i have playing the English is that i have to defeat them and the French to progress and i miss both of them when they are gone and my game is no longer as interesting.

Egypt. No draw there. They are really just a filler "Non-Moorish, Non-Turkish Islamic Faction".
The Hungarians have little draw for me too. Why not put in the Romanians and battle the Turks for Transylvania.
