    We've got a system for 0.8 that is in place for buildings and in progress for the new units.

    It will be like this:

    Chrematistes
    (Trader)

    or

    Toxotai
    (Archers)

    We will never get rid of the transliterations though of the unit names. But you will have a second line beneath them that provides an english translation.

    We will have both. There is no point to us having a voice mod, new translations for building names, real person names, a new GUI, and countless other improvements designed to create immersion and then half our units in ancient languages by virtue of actual names, and the other half using an incorrect or anachronistic language simply to avoid translating names where we don't have real ones.

    All of us are well aware of the significance of the name hastati, but the suggestion above will only create a disconnect and would be pointless for us.
