The less slave starting provinces the better in my opinion, so I will shout for "Yes!" for full number of factions in EB2.

Back to the original question: we voted against it, MTW1 graphics look most likely, though STW sprites looked cool too.

32 factions slots, which new factions do you think will be included?
I'm hoping more barbarian tribes, as it makes it total chaos when 3 factions fight eachover for a province.

Well I think these extra factions could be:
    Chatii
    Some Indian Faction
    Numidia (West)
    Numidia (East)
    Some form of Irish Tribe/Brigantes
    Tutones
    Cimbri
    Carnutes
    The People of Syracuse/Messena
    The Ligurians/The Boii
    The Bastarnae

    And possibly:
    Carthaginian Rebels
    Roman Rebels
    Eastern Greek Rebels
    Western Greek Rebels

Add Pergamon, to that. As long as the map is not extended further to the east you won't get to see an Indian faction, if we may believe what EB stated a while ago... That was as far as the team was concerned in regarding to 0.8, but given that the main Indian faction of that time seems to be the Mauryan Empire...

If there are more provinces in the EB2 campaign map, then I guess there will be more in the Sahara desert and the Russian Steppes.

Indians, unlikely, not enough of the area they lived in on the map. Why split Numidia in two? And Carnutes were subordinate to the Aedui, inhabitting Aulercia, part of the territory the Aedui effectively administered. Almost surely another Germanic faction, but I doubt Teutones (not definable early enough), probably Chatti I'd think.

I don't see why spaces would be used for rebels like this really, when it could go to more factions. It's a big map, and there are a lot of places that could be filled in better without rebel factions.

I'd like to see Brigantes, Hattoz (Chatti), Bononia (kingdom of Bohemian Boii), Pergamon, split Iberia into two different factions, Numidia, the Aitolian league or Syracuse, maybe Aquitania, and not certain what else.
