Thread: The Two Kingdoms. (Rules WIP)

Default The Two Kingdoms. (Rules WIP)

I thought of a good idea for a forum game.

Basically, there are two kingdoms (England and France) each one containing forum members.

Once the King of England and the King of France have been elected, all the remaining players decide whose subjects they will be. The two kings then chose what each of their subjects shall be. Kings may wish to reward ardent supporters by making them dukes, counts etc.

If there is enough people, there may even be a Pope.

    Is anyone interested?

I was thinking of making a game exactly like this a while back. An idea that I had was that you would have Gods who would control things like natural disasters etc. based on the amount of worship they received from the people. There would be a 'team' of several Gods (based on the amount of players) who would each control a certain aspect of the game.

Needless to say, this looks great so I am DEFINITELY in.

Right, hopefully more people will join. You may begin privately asking for support to be named one of the two kings.

We still can't start until quite a few more people join, but this may help to speed things up.

Heheheh it's Duke Malcom, not Duke John.

EDIT: Btw, does this mean we are supposed to form our own kingdoms, or are they randomly selected?

    Sorry about that.

In answer to your question Silver. There are two "teams/kingdoms" to begin with. You've got to convince people why you should be the king of one of those two kingdoms.

OK, but are you going to tell us which teams we are in advance so that we can begin with the politics early on or do we choose them amongst ourselves now or what?

The whole of the players elect two respective kings. They then decide whose side they are on.

We aren't voting yet, as there aren't enough people at the moment. What we are doing, is privately trying to get others to vote us as one of the two kings.

So if you know anyone here at The Guld who would be interested ask them to join.

Will there be turns? How will members of the same kingdom communicate? How will the two kingdoms communicate?

Right, you may begin lobbying for support to get yourself elected king. Voting will begin at the start of Friday AEST.

There will be turns. Probably of 3 or 4 months duration.

Members of the same kingdom can communicate via Private Message, email, or a chat service like MSN. Basically, it's up to you.

The two kings will only be allowed to communicate via forum posts, no private messaging allowed. Other nobles, however, can communicate in any way to the kings.
