Thread: Inheriting a kingdom?

  1. #1

    Default Inheriting a kingdom?

is it possible to inherit a kingdom?

i.e you prince/ princess marries the daughter/son of a rival kingdom.

is it possible due to lack of alternative heirs that your "child" inherits the throne, and if so what would happen - the rival kingdom continues to exist independently or joins your kingdom?

another question - can their be female rulers, or do they exist soleley as the spouses of the ruler

Interesting question, there used to be the possibility in Medieval 1 that this could happen - it never happened to me, but I thought that a civil war would occur in the 'inheritable' nation and that then one of the waring factions would become yours.

Unfortunately this never happened to me ... perhaps my princesses were all ugly or something.

I've read somewhere in the maze of info on the interweb ( ) that unfortunately there won't be female leaders on the campaign map.

This created quite a stir on the .com forum and it all got pretty ugly tbh.
    Touchy subject, it seems...

I saw some people talking about the files in a nother thred on a nother site saying it might be posable to mod femail leaders in. I did not understand much of it as I am not a moder but it did not seem like it would be all that hard.
