Default pre-battle speeches, how to get them?

For the last couple of days, I assumed speeches weren't in the game, because i hadnt gotten in in two days.

I'm at my cousin's place now, he's playin M2:TW as the venetians, and i thought i just heard him getting a pre-battle speech, and he says it's normal.

    Are you guys getting speeches?

    Pre-battle peeches?

I generally just go to the supermarket. THeyre generally pretty fresh. THough i have to be careful not to get my fingers sticky because that could really muck up the keyboard.

    nice one.

Yes there are battle speeches but it doesn't come right away like in RTW.
You just have to wait until it zooms in on your general.

You have to wait for the camera to zoom into your general for the speech to start, they do not start straight away like in RTW.

Is there much more variety in M2 than in RTW. After a few days on RTW I`d heard them all and never really bothered paying attention to them. Though there were a few funny ones that would be spoken by guys with nutcase traits lol

I've actually really enjoyed the pre-battle speeches so far. There was one in particular where the general just went off on one and started using all of these bizarrely arcane insults. 'Cod-piece stealing nun-fondler' was the best, I think.

Seen that. Prince William Rufus called the Scots a bunch of arse pirates, amongst other things. He wasn't terribly complimentary about their wives either.

Fair's fair. They were my allies, until they backstabbd me. (VH/VH, still in the first 15 turns of the game. The Scots had the two Scottish provinces and Ireland, and attacked me presumably because I block their further expansion. They had armies filled with mailed knights and border cavalry, with some infantry and archers to balance it. Scary! So far I am just about winning, having beaten a couple of their armies with my very battered and twice reinforced one)
