Error code 6001 when installing patch 1.3?

It says to delete all temporary files, so I did, and I think all applications are closed (task manager says no apps are running)... what is the problem here? should i download it from somewhere other than totalwar.com, if that is even possible?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

by the way I did search for this and a couple of results came up but seemed only to point to installshield as being the problem... but not specificlaly what to do about it... even wtih it not running i dont think it works

in any case, is 1.3 worth it if i only have 512 ram? does 1.5 fix the mem leak thing?

Don't bother with 1.3. I read that it created more bugs than it fixed. Just go straight on to 1.5.

And the mem leak thing has never been fixed (or at least it hasn't for me).
