Default Your most evil act so far in the game

I was going to post this in another thread about crusade blocking issues but thought I'd put in a separate thread about it.

    -----------------------

I had a blocking issue trying to get my troops across the Sea of Marmara crossing point playing as the Danes. The Venetians were my allies but blocking me from crossing there. Much frustration and cursing ensued as a result. However it did turn out to be very beneficial. Someone else succeeded in getting to the crusade objective and turned my crusade army into a standard army.

At this point I looked across a little and saw a nice fat ripe Constantinople sitting there. The Byzantines were neutral but that didn't stop me going along, taking it for 20k florins and then, when the unrest got too much I torched all the buildings for another 20k florins and gave the region back to the Byzantines. I'd built a few ships by this point so I took them across to Rhodes which was still in rebel hands, grabbed that and now I have a nice island in the Med ready to do some conquest round there.

I think as my troops embarked onto their ships their last view was the disenchanted populace slinging out the Byzantines from Constantinople and just going into rebel hands. Boy did I feel very evil recreating the fourth crusade but it was immensely satisfying nonetheless.

I am trying to train up several assassins to take out some Inquisitors that have been burning half the population of England, including a King, and have even made multiple (failed thankfully) attempts on a Cardinal! However, the softest targets around just happen to be allied Princesses from Denmark, HRE, Russia and Spain. Oops, did I drop that snake in your room? So sorry...

I think I have probably *trained* on 10 allied princesses so far.

I hear you TinCow...same here...Danish Princesses: the 1st choice 4 propper assasin trainig....but the scream of her bitten by a snake still rings in my ear !!!!

Plus my troops slaughtered the pope once...or twice.....sometimes it rocks to be a bigtime Heretic...unless you find yourself standing on a big pile of wood and a guy with a freaky hat is about to give you fire!!!!

Hmm, let's think. Where should I start.

Playing as spain I used several nasty methods.

First of all I killed 8 popes in 25 turns:D, just make sure you have a 10 subterfuge assasin and you have about 30-45% chance, depending on the Pope.

Further on, after getting a warning of the pope to stop hostilities I executed the Portugues King, and 800 of his man, which I took prisoner in a very strange battle. Although it cost me 17000 in the turn itself bij not ransoming them, I think the worth of getting rid of the army was more than worth it.

And not to forget, the absolute massacre of the Moors. Destroying and killing everyone and everything in each moorish settlement you take sure get's them down on their knees quickly

Lol. I executed the Scottish king, Danish king, Portugese king, Moorish faction heir and around 1800 soldiers in the same turn. Then I killed my king's half brother for deserting :D.

Having about 5 stacks of elite units is fun :D

The Rape of Thessalonica took place in 1136 AD, perpetrated by the evil Prince Simon of Sicily. A mixture of cunning strategy and subterfuge allowed his army of elite mailed and feudal knights to overcome the numerically superior but weak-willed Byzantine garrisson, and with the city in his hands, the population was systematically exterminated and the buildings torched to avenge the unannounced Byzantine raids on Durazzo... and rapidly fill the coffers in Palermo.
