There will be bunch of clans with only one starting province.And some of those are even surrounded by larger clans.Wellcome to the forums microhenry!

awesome :) will each faction have its own sort of "uber" unit? like urban cohort in RTW or Spartans etc... Getting powerful and rich enoough to have an army of those sure did make for some good battles

There won't be special units for the clans... It will take far too much time to create new units, and all the clans didn't used specials units... But you'll be able, in some provinces, to hire special mercs... Like the Sohei (warrior monks) or the Men of Iga (powerful unit)... These can make the difference in a battle
