I've only toyed with MP in friendly game,s but I think I'm ready for a shot with real competition.
So..what happens in Rated Games, can one turn off the Fatigue etc. or does everything reset to "normal" settings. Or does the host's Preferences dictate what happens?
    Help, please

the host's settings apply all the time... but i suppose i don't have to tell you what settings you should be using (at least if you want a game with me, hehe)

Good question Soly. I think your post will be better served on the much larger General Discussion forum. That way you will receive more input than you would in here. I will be closing this thread here and moving it to the Gen. Discussion area (leaving it here for a while so that anyone who may be following the thread will know where it has been moved) Thanks again for the question, Elmarko

If I don't see all the options set, then I don't bother

    Actually, if I don't see 60-unit size I don't bother. And if I don't have a known ally I don't bother. Guess that's why I've only done 10 comp games

    LOL,

Just cuz I'm picky doesn't mean I don't love the game. I'm sure you'll develop likes/dislikes too Until Obake drug me in kicking and screaming to the world of Comp I always played friendlies. Figured noone would be dishonorable if stats weren't on the line. For the most part I was right too!

well if it bothers you, then don't bother, otherwise you just bother the rest of us...

    ...ahemmm, anyway

ya that's the kinda deal i meant, gotta have 60 size and full 'realism' settings on, and no, i don't bother with strangers in comp games (sorry, no offense, but ya know... )

but the real question is ,do you take candy from strangers?

i looked over the totalwar.com league ratings and noticed there was a guy with 29 wins and no losses. sounds pretty fishy to me. i suppose one could set up a game against an opponent (friend down the street) and win win win against an idle and willing opponent. theres always someone who goes straight for the hollow victory.....

Zandu Irobe, yes I was online once with him and several others and he kept posting comp games and wouldn't fight anyone under 120 honor. So, the lot of us were givin him crap about it ( cause ya do ) and eventually he posted a friendly game to anyone. Being a man of my word lept in and had my A$$ returned to me on a silver platter. He be good much. But thats the only time I've seen him online. And I've improved much since then... Honor to all...
