Default Your most evil act so far in the game

I was going to post this in another thread about crusade blocking issues but thought I'd put in a separate thread about it.

    -----------------------

I had a blocking issue trying to get my troops across the Sea of Marmara crossing point playing as the Danes. The Venetians were my allies but blocking me from crossing there. Much frustration and cursing ensued as a result. However it did turn out to be very beneficial. Someone else succeeded in getting to the crusade objective and turned my crusade army into a standard army.

At this point I looked across a little and saw a nice fat ripe Constantinople sitting there. The Byzantines were neutral but that didn't stop me going along, taking it for 20k florins and then, when the unrest got too much I torched all the buildings for another 20k florins and gave the region back to the Byzantines. I'd built a few ships by this point so I took them across to Rhodes which was still in rebel hands, grabbed that and now I have a nice island in the Med ready to do some conquest round there.

I think as my troops embarked onto their ships their last view was the disenchanted populace slinging out the Byzantines from Constantinople and just going into rebel hands. Boy did I feel very evil recreating the fourth crusade but it was immensely satisfying nonetheless.

I am trying to train up several assassins to take out some Inquisitors that have been burning half the population of England, including a King, and have even made multiple (failed thankfully) attempts on a Cardinal! However, the softest targets around just happen to be allied Princesses from Denmark, HRE, Russia and Spain. Oops, did I drop that snake in your room? So sorry...

I think I have probably *trained* on 10 allied princesses so far.

Plus my troops slaughtered the pope once...or twice.....sometimes it rocks to be a bigtime Heretic...unless you find yourself standing on a big pile of wood and a guy with a freaky hat is about to give you fire!!!!

Hmm, let's think. Where should I start.

Playing as spain I used several nasty methods.

First of all I killed 8 popes in 25 turns:D, just make sure you have a 10 subterfuge assasin and you have about 30-45% chance, depending on the Pope.

Further on, after getting a warning of the pope to stop hostilities I executed the Portugues King, and 800 of his man, which I took prisoner in a very strange battle. Although it cost me 17000 in the turn itself bij not ransoming them, I think the worth of getting rid of the army was more than worth it.

And not to forget, the absolute massacre of the Moors. Destroying and killing everyone and everything in each moorish settlement you take sure get's them down on their knees quickly

Lol. I executed the Scottish king, Danish king, Portugese king, Moorish faction heir and around 1800 soldiers in the same turn. Then I killed my king's half brother for deserting :D.

Having about 5 stacks of elite units is fun :D

The Rape of Thessalonica took place in 1136 AD, perpetrated by the evil Prince Simon of Sicily. A mixture of cunning strategy and subterfuge allowed his army of elite mailed and feudal knights to overcome the numerically superior but weak-willed Byzantine garrisson, and with the city in his hands, the population was systematically exterminated and the buildings torched to avenge the unannounced Byzantine raids on Durazzo... and rapidly fill the coffers in Palermo.

I just hung the French King, his brother and both his remaining sons in the aftermath of a disastrous battle on the outskirts of Paris.

An entire bloodline killed after surrendering.

I've been preading the plague with a plague-ridden spy; all of Polish, HRE, and French cities so far (playing as danish). I think I will have him pay a visit to Rome next

I conquered rome and killed the pope as i was pissed off that he was excomunicating me. i then killed three more popes including 1 of my own faction for similar reasons.
i essentially ended up attempting to eradicate all other catholic factions, so that i could control the pope

I supposed that would be having my king rampage through Italy, from Milan and Venice all the way down to Sicily, exterminating the population in every city he took. Those italian cities have a really bloated population... the squalor would have killed me otherwise. Just for fun I'd also make him execute all the prisoners in the field battles he fought. History shall not soon forget the horror that was King Roy the Malevolent, with 10 command and 10 dread. It was hereditary, too - both his sons got the "legacy of dread"-trait, giving them +2 dread.

As the French I was attacked by three full stacks of dirty Milanese militiamen. I had a full stack of Feudal nights, dismounted feudal knights, and armoured sergeants. Typical hammer and anvil on them, huge rout. Almost 4,000 prisoners executed in one fell swoop. Muahahaha

Locking in an inquisitor with eight militia units.

looks like this, and hes not going anywhere.

easy way to get rid of my raving mad english king, with the absense of rebels and scots.

That is awesome...How did you lure him into the trap? Witches? Family heirs? Free lunch? New matches?

For me it must be the replay of history.

In my 2 campaigns sofar my crusader armies killed the prisoners and the population of jerusalem once they took it.

Just like the first crusade did.

Here on my invasion into Danish lands with the English, I round up and surround the last remaining soldiers in their castle centre grounds. Weak and tired they stand ready to fight.

Instead of charging them, and rounding them up for capture I roll my cannons up to the centre grounds and have a live cannon show, with our hosts getting ripped apart in the centre as we spectate the massacre unfold before us.

seriously though, the fact that these guys cant move past your stacks might be a sollution to the problem, at least until it gets patched.
a spear militia on a bridge or mountain pass stops the inquisitor, and forces him to turn around. this might help in protecting that atheist super gouvenor.

Djurre: I do believe you & will try tonight. Maybe bad thing: merchants & diplomats can not cross e.g. mountain passes too, right? I think about keeping the inquisitor trapped & then send one assasin after another, move one militia and try to get rid of the ba*****. Cheers, Subedei
