I never bothered to manage them in Rome.
If you cant be bothered, dont do it. Control your overwhelming urges for uber-generals!
Besides, I thought your couldnt transfer in M2TW?

Yep, that's what it basically means for me - I don't bother.
I haven't tried transfering them in mtw2 to be honest.

You can transfer some of them, apparently. Most of them you cant, though.
Which is which i think we are supposed to work out by trial and error each time
What they should (IMNSHO) have done is made transferrable retinue members into actual full agent type people. Would've been quite cool to have special characters like marco polo wandering around the map at your whim.

i tried a couple of times with priests, hoping to get them pious enough to get promoted to cardinals, but the few times i tried it failed. i never did it in rome, cos it felt cheap, buffing up some 16 yo just come of age general so he had like all the uber retainers, was more fun going out and earning them :D
Cheers Knoddy
"How come i cant make friends like that"
"You need to get out more"
"Im in another galaxy, how much more out can i get"
If you could transfer them all, Marco Polo would live forever![]()
There's a couple you should be able to but can't - I had a King find the Crown of Thorns, but when he died, I guess they just threw it out, you know 'what is this told thing? eh, toss it in the thames.'
Why would the King want to give to anyone while he was alive? He was probably buried with it...Originally Posted by Aquitaine
You know, so he could return it to it's rightful owner...
But for Marco Polo, if he is not transferable then that may be a bug as it looks as if he should be applied to a general and not a priest... Does the priest get the movement bonus?
Don't know if this has been posted, but I do want the same:
