Scottish unit roster is pretty simple and based on infantry.
Scotland had constantly troubles in rising sizable cavalry units which was somehow solved by equipping their light horsemen with lances and disbanding arquebuser/cuirassier units they tried to create earlier.

We also have the famous Clansmen who will be present in the mod as well.


So here it goes.


Scottish Pikemen
- armoured, but often in grey, cheap uniforms


Scottish Musketeers

---- both will be given a little different uniforms I will decide later
Veteran Musketeers



Covenant Pikemen
-cheap, grey unifrms, helmets or more often just the famous blue bonnets


Covenant Musketeers


Firelocks
- most advanced, but rare Scottish infantry armed with modern flintlock muskets



Scottish Halbardiers
-were used against Higland rebels, extremely useful in stopping 'highland charge' - as below


Scottish Lighthorse
-pretty weak mounted arquebusiers/light cuirassiers



Scottish Lancers
- the best Scottish cavalry, dangerous to other cavalry,




Moss Troopers
-brigands on horses. Often hid pistols in the long, cavalry boots.

Clansmen:

Highland Clansmen



Highland Piekemen
-poorer looking pikemen with no armour, but stubborn and fearsome when led properly


Redshanks
- bare-footed and armed with bows, but stillquite dangerous when charging or as light missile infantry




12 units + officers and various mercenaries.


In addition Border Reivers shared with the English and easy access to Irish toops.

In the Highlands maybe, but the Royal Scottish armies and the Covenanters?
