    Default Quick Question

According to the manual, recruitment slots grow as cities/castles get bigger, however i have several huge cities and 3 citadels in my english campaign and they all still only have 3 recruitment slots per turn. am i wrong in thinking this goes up? or am i missing some building to increase it?

any help would be great :D

im pretty sure that in my game my castle has 3 slots and my three cities each have 2 slots
i think the castle or town wall upgrades influence this

Similar for cities. The smallest towns only have one, but none has gotten higher than 3. It's made for some "creative" retraining on my part. I selectively merge units with casualties, trying to bring as many as possible to full strength without losing one completely, then retrain the one that's almost destroyed. It's common for me to retrain cav units with 1-2 men left because of this. It's a little harder with infantry, as mine tend to take a lot of casualties. I'm playing Byzantium, and the infantry doesn't have much armor.
