Honour 8 guns

0k, i was in a game and i had 3 squads of honour 8 guns, as usual archers horses tried to kill them and so forth, but they dident kill the musketeers the horses ran, so i find Honour 8 guns really good, any tips to get the MOST out of them ? oh i found out that i front line of guns backed up by yari, and archer horses are a really good team, if you have got any thing to add to his "firing" squad, then please do so i like deffending a lot, but i dont think im doing something right with these guns and stuff any help would be good please

Fire at charging men, ashis would rout immediately; shock troops a little later.

Use yaris as backup behind yes and the monks/nd should be not too far away as well.
Put them in open formation if you want as well and rows of 3.

Try this: You can baffle the enemy doing the following manuever:

Line up your muskies as suggested in 3-line-deep formations. As the enemy forces approach, switch them into wedgies and charge into the assaulting enemy lines. They will run like whipped dogs on a papist yoke! And the nice thing is: the remainder of your force never needs to get involved if you charge properly (as a disorganized mob of crazed peasants with heavy-as-heck clubs) -- they will have front-row seats to main event!
