Default Provincial campaign returns to menu

    Hi
I wanted to try out the totally random total war minimod (found here - https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=52718 ), but realised it was out of date. I get the same error message I got when I tried to unlock all factions, which was solved by adding a faction description. However, I have added a faction description to the julii and it still gets the same error - something about needing to add 2 factions to the battlemap.

What happens is when I have selected Julii and click play, the game goes back to the menu immediately. I'm running the -show_err thing in the target of the shortcut, so when I quit the game I get the error mentioned above. Can anyone help get this campaign working?

Just looked at download, descr_strat looks like 1.2 version its got:
    win_conditions
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    end_win_conditions
bit in it before resources, 1.5 doesn't recognise that so it doesn't read down to factions - hence your message.

Delete that chunk and see if it works, there may well be other differences between versions...

Ah, on second thoughts maybe not quite. It just CTD'd when I clicked the senate tab.

    Other bit that's different between 1.2 / 1.5 descr_strat is that 1.5 has
    superfaction romans_senate
line under for each roman faction (julii, scipii, brutii), i.e.
    faction romans_scipii, bureaucrat napoleon
    superfaction romans_senate
    denari 5000
    etc..

putting that in might make senate tab workable...

However there are some modding solutions (generally for removing senate) which require you to remember not to click senate tab / offices - don't know if this is one of them!
