I heard three factions from v0.74 were being replaced in v.08
So, who are these new factions, and who's being replaced?
Kralizec 23:36 11-19-2006
The Yuezhi are removed, instead EB is implementing another steppe faction, the Saka Rauka (sp)
The senate slot is being used for another faction, this wasn't possible earlier. I don't think the new faction has been revealed yet, but I could be wrong.
There will be no Iberian faction in 0.8, instead a single Iberian tribe called the Lusotannan.
That's how I understand it, anyway.

So the senate slot faction is being kept a mystery for the moment?
You are correct on all counts Kralizec.
when are you gonna reveal the senate replacement faction? please do it soon I'm dying to see it.

I doubt we preview the other before the 0.8 release. It's just not got enough done compared to this one. Aymar just went on an incredible tear and suddenly this faction's unit side was too good not to preview. The other will be in 0.8, but just not as ready. By 0.9 or 1.0, you'll probably get a more full "preview" of it, as their best units get more complete, but you'll know who they are by then.
so by 0.8 the 3 new factions will be the least complete, since they're the newest? Or is sarumatae still the least?
I think thats what one of the posts said
Sarmatians are more complete than any of those three. Maybe except unit-wise, since Lusitannan have had a huge increase in the last few weeks.
so what would you say are the least complete factions?
The three newest ones.
So we have Saka, Lusotannan, and (my guess) Saba in the Arabian Peninsula. Qwerty mentions them every so often in random posts so that seems to be a good indicator.

*Takes Qwerty out behind the barn and shoots him*
(But was that really a gun shot, or perhaps the popping of a champagne cork to celebrate yet another successful diversion?)

(is that drifting cloud a frankly ridiculous amount of gunsmoke, or is it all the fizz from champagne? IT IS A MYSTERY)

hah let me rephrase that... I realize they're the newest and havent had the time put into them like the others have. I wanted to know how far the others that were the least complete have been coming along? i.e. Hayasdan, Pontus. How complete is Dacia by the way?
Just have to wait and see. We don't have percentages or things like that. I have no idea when it comes to units too (though it's obvious that Lusitannan has gotten a lot very recently). There are some things that if the faction advisors and historians just won't finish, that the rest of us don't have the ability to do. You'll notice my call for Pahlava help, for instance.

The distractions aren't meant to amuse. They're meant to drive us to the brink of insanity

Dacia is on it's way to total completion. I can guarantee you that 101%.
Tellos Athenaios 00:07 11-25-2006
I can't trust someone who thinks he can ensure us 101%, for some reason I'm not able to explain...
And especially since it's about Dacians, and not Getai... the latest 'distraction' comes into mind.
