A witch in Gotland!

Playing Danes and I have a low level witch in Gotland. The only problem seems to be that I cannot land my Cardinal from Stockholm to Gotland. Gotland seems to be unlandable for some reason.

Stockholm heresy rating is slowly raising and now I even have an inqvisitor near Stockholm

Certain shorelines aren't landable. I mean, you can't expect to walk off a ship when the coastline is about a few hundred feet up (fjords and all that), can you?

I think his problem is she turned him into a newt. Don't forget about the lovli lakes either.

I think the problem here is that CA accidently left a bug which has affected game balance so that witches no longer weigh less than ducks.

Gotland is totally unpassable island. Looks like a good bug to me.

If you don't mind using a cheat, you can use the cheats to move her to land you can actually get to. Open the console, hover your mouse over a spot on the mainland and type show_cursorstat, note the x,y coordinates, and then type move_character "witch's name" x,y.

Here's what you do : you send an emissary to your closest ennemy... and you flog Gotland to him. Then sit back and giggle in glee when everyone gets burned at the stake for being soft on witches :)

Hmmm try putting the ship just outside Gotland and then try to attack the witch with your cardinal directly from the ship. It might work. Or not.. :)

Use the "teleport" cheat mentioned ^^ and teleport into that enemies land

I tried that too. You can burn her even from the ship or land a priest on the island. Seems that the only way is to move her our from the island with console commands or sell the region to pope :D

It would almost seem that he didn't get better, from his follow-up posts. His next logical step should be to build a bridge out of her.

I've only found one witch in my campaign yet and I didn't even know there were such things in the game until I saw her and had her cut up by an assain. I hope too see more though.

You'd be better off letting your priests have her for lunch. Assassins can kill pretty much any enemy named characters or agents. Priests, afaik, can only gain piety through burning heretics or through preaching in low-(your religion here) lands.

Sure thing mate. The only other thing I'd offer is that if you're playing as a catholic faction AND your don't have any priests in range that can take care of the heretic quickly, THEN use your assassins or any means necessary to get rid of them. If you don't, you'll end up drawing inquisitors like flies to ... excrement, and the general consensus right now is that they are extremely overpowered.
