I'd love to congratulate you, but unless you live in the UK you could have had more fun burning your cash. They shipped my game on the 8th & its not here, of course I live in a far, far distant galaxy called Barcelona, and no doubt its due to the postal donkey, (which serves the whole of España dontchaknow) having had a stroke or some-such.

Anyhow, I've given up & ordered from game, (at least you get someone to talk to if there's a problem, which beats an automated response from India imo).

Oh, & with the game order I gotta pizza voucher too so if the xmas turkey in the motherland gets burnt at least I have a plan B!

As far as tips go, make sure you have a dvd drive on your PC, & read the various guides, (the post on cav charges, merchants, & princesses are all good too).

I ordered the M2TW from game and I got it yesterday I got the collectors edition and it sat for days stuck in the customs.....I was thinking of sending a crusade on them

But now I am happily installing the game as I write...and I have the rest of the week off......now I just have to send my girlfriend on a diplomatic mission somwhere!!!!!

No problems with amazon here. I ordered it from co.uk (as a pre order, in the last week of oct IIRC), together with CoH. It was a combi-discount, each for together 50 pounds or so. It was send to my adress in Holland seperately, and MTW2 was delivered a week ago, tuesday I think. IIRC it was indeed send at the 8th of november or something, ETA 14th november. And it delivered ok..

Prodigal: when u looked up your order with Amazon.co.uk, did it specify an ETA?

Last time I'll post about this, but as I've implied some rather unpleasant things about amazon its only fair to give them their dues too.

I haven't recieved the game from them although eta was 15th nov. However they have refunded me the game & shipment costs, & told me that if it ever turns up to have it with their compliments, which even a mean cynic like me has to admit is a pretty damn admirable resolution to a customer complaint

Should note, I order alot of stuff from them on a regular basis & this is the first time I've had a problem, just a shame it had to be for something I'm foaming at the mouth to get.

If they use Home Delivery Network though (usually for SuperSaver) they may decide that they can't be bothered to deliver your item at all. HDNL have done this twice.

Would be interested to know if Prodigal's missing package was despatched via HDNL.

A couple of weeks ago, Amazon (or rather Royal Mail) lost my (UK) delivery of NWN2 and DoW:DC - it was a super saver thing. It was potentially very annoying but thankfully I had M2TW and so was not too bothered.

Kudos to Amazon though, they speedily sent a replacement. I thought I would just have to take the hit, losing my order/money.

Given my experience and de Monfort's point, maybe it's worth paying for the postage though?

I've had items repeatedly fail to be delivered from Amazon.co.uk if they're supersaver, there must be someone taking those orders for themselves somewhere as long the line because I've heard of so many people with the same problem.

I pre-ordered from Amazon.uk I am in Germany and not speaking German I had no intention of trying to get it to load in English (which I understand doesn't work...Typical!) or trying to read the manual. It was cheaper than buying it here even with shipping. The delivery date was the 14th but it arrived on the release date of the 11th.

I'm another victim of SuperSaver "delivery" (although they managed to find the parcel after a week or so). Never again.
