    Default Venetian skin mix-up

I've seen so far 2 units that get their skins mixed up when upgraded with defense (the shield Icon) in custom battles. I don't know if this happens everynow and then, or if it is permanent. Well, I'll explain the mix-up.

I have 2 units, one venetian heavy infantry, and one venetian archer unit. Both upgraded with defense. When the game started I noticed a strange skin change. I got some sort of hybrid unit (in appearance at least). A unit with dismounted French archer skins with the venetian shield and warhammer. Anybody else have this problem? Goes as shown..... weird eh?

That's normal and intended. Armour upgrades and armour types are physically shown in-game by using different models. In effect, all factions/cultures have a number of different body types that will be used for all units depending on what level or armour they're wearing, and only differ in their weapons, if that (for instance, twice armour-upgraded Billmen and base Armoured Billmen are undistinguishable).

Might seem like a negative or cheap, but it does look hella cool, plus even inside of a broad culture there are some subdivisions (i.e. English (northern europe) chain doesn't look the same as Venetian chain (southern europe) or hungarian chain (eastern europe), even when worn by the exact same base unit), so that in effect it actually makes the game richer rather than poorer.
Anything wrong ? Blame it on me. I'm the French.

No, what he means that after upgrading their armor, visually, their armor on the battlefield reduces from plate to mail. That is the problem.
