Thread: Mod for Historical Battle ???

    Default How to change side in Historical battle ???

    Hello;
    Does any one know how to proceed for moding the historical battle in order to play the other side.: ie the French in Azincourt or the Maya in Otumba ??
    I'v been trying to change the battle script without success...such as deleting "non playable" or adding the name of the faction under "playable"
    but it doesn't work!

    the following will work, Dont ask me why, it just does. (ive never managed as of yet to figure it out)

    Make a backup, usually i make a new folder and copy the battle i want to mod into

    Go into the battle desc file and change the contents around.

    So at the top make france playable and england not.

    Do the same for the armies, move the french entries to above the english ones.

    Save it and play

    Enjoy.

    File should look like below.

    Do you have the script for Otumba, Pavie and the others ? . (I mean the same as the original but switching side)

    I've been trying the script you gave me for Azincourt, it didn't work, I've got boats instead of troops
    any suggestions ?
    It works with the original script only by switching playable to unplayable, but than the english are charging like furious instead of waitting the french

    Yes this is a custom battle.

    You should not mod the original, always keep the original as clean.
    create a new directory and copy into it the files you want.

    the best way to do this is to launch the battle editor and save the battle as a different name. (hence it will create itself a new directory - and place the required files in it)

    i found in game "bonus" units - our bohemian hussites and wagon fort..now i need make custom battle with his units...but...i dont know how to..

    i copy and paste it in my agincourt folder it did not work am i missing something becouse i did not understand the part that you siad about copy the battle that you mod into
