Default Trained Knights' experience - bug or feature?

Finally, after three crusades and lots of trained priests, I finally got a Great Chapter House of the Knights Hospitaler in Jerusalem (Yay!). As I also have a Master Swordsmith's Guild in Nottingham (+1 to trained knights global), all Order Knights trained in Jerusalem should be Exp 2, shouldn't they? When I right-click on the knights in the recruitment window, it says Exp 2. However, all Hospitalers I train come out at Exp 0, and I have to retrain them to get to Exp 2. I find this very strange, as all other knights (feudal, mailed, whatever) trained anywhere else automatically benefit from the Swordsmith's +1, even the Knights Hospitaler I can train in the Minor Chapter house in Acre.

    So, bug or feature?

I think it's a bug, and I have a similar issue with Byzantine Spearmen. At one of my castles where I've got the level 5 barracks, I'm supposed to be able to build Byzantine Spearmen with 3 XP. I've also got the Swordsmith's Guild HQ, for +2 global XP for knights. I can build Latinkon which come out with 2 XP fine, but if I build Byzantine Spearmen, they come out with nothing, and I have to retrain them to get the 3 XP.
Age and treachery will defeat youth and skill every time.
