Replays for Campaign Battles?

I have a question for those of you who have already purchased the game. So does M2TW have the feature where you can record replays of the battles you fight in the campaign?

No unfortunately it's only the custom battles you can record.I believe it's ommission in this game is due to it being an evolution of the RTW engine which does not support such a feature.

Hmmm. That's unfortunate, because that was a feature I was really looking forward to. :(

What I do find odd, is that when you look at the "temp" folder, you see a "battle.rpy" and a "campaign_battle.rpy". Does this mean they tried to implement it, but somehow failed and did not clean-up the remains of the coding?

Perhaps a patch can solve it. Or maybe modding. Or maybe it even works right now, I'm gonna try to copy the campaign replay to the replay section and see how it goes.

Actually I've tried it once but the game CTD everytime after the replay ran for a certain period of time(when some archery release its arrows). The weather was inconsistent with the game I played also. Hopefully CA'll patch this feature later on because it is such a joy to watch campaign replay.

I agree.

When I first played , sure I zoomed in to watch the new animations, but now, I still do but not as frequent and I would love to watch the action. But being a general you have to babysit troops and you cant watch the fun too long without someone suffering.


Battle recorders all the way! Let us enjoy the battle
