its a GAME.

the AI is based on TEXT files for gods sake! It will NEVER be equal to a human!

CA seemed to concentrate on AI & graphics for this game. Im CERTAIN the patch will address a lot of issues.

The game is beautiful to look at, the AI is vastly improved even if it still makes some bad mistakes, sure. But humans have made a LOT of mistakes in military and political history.

(the passive AI bug, i reckon, is more accurately Fear of Archers.)

so yah, there's my call -toarms for CA supporters!

No better game, and none of the micro-management of Civ.
and damn those knights look sexy!:)

Criticism is a good thing, though.
I don't think there has been that much whining.
AI can always get better.

Im just glad they release patches :p.

Yeah, I have stopped reading this forum as much because of all the negativity. As the opening poster said, it's a great game and kicks the ass of any other strategy game ever. Previous Total War games included.

Its a good game, but it shiped with some issues that dont exactly "break" the game but make it very odd at times. To me it seems like they left alot out that could have been included (since every faction has nearly the same units becides eastern) but i think that was because they want to make money on some sort of mini expansion....a very pouplar trend these days.

But its a fact that unless people whine, things wont change...so i encourage it simply for the sake of change.

This happens every time a TW game is released. Some folks go ballistic about unpolished bits, and their rhetoric can be overheated. In the end, patches and mods make most folks content. Every single one of these dramas has a happy ending.

I am glad that you are enjoying the game, but unless you are prepared to be called a bootlicking fanboy, I would suggest you stop referring to people who post problems on here as "whinners".

Seriously, if you like the game, then post what features you like, but don't insult people who have issues with some of the features they dislike. This is a subjective thing and it is all a matter of opinion.
