516 kills and they get -8 xp? What did they doto deserve that, get drunk mid battle and shoot themselves from it?

Stats show only two friendly fire kills occured, and it may not have even been them!

-8 xp is because they got killed. They probably had 8 xp when they lived, but dead people don't have any xp. Hence: -8 xp.

Especially in the early part of the game, it's quite possible for a general to get 500-600 kills if you let it happen. The general will have all these stars and some upgrades and experience, and the enemy troops are cheap spearmen, peasant archers, and such. Often, the general's entire bodyguard will die and it's just him alone doing all that killing. This can be a real nightmare.... Hope you had a recent save before this happened :D

Aye they got -xp because they died, bit of a battle really, you can't see it on the screenshot but i was outnumbered about 3 to 1 defending a castle. I had that catapult positioned inside the castle, they broke through the gate with a ram and sent about 1500 troops through it.

I had one unit of midstrength adventuros and some merc spearman i think guarding the gate. The adventuros in spearwall and the spearman in schiltron. The enemy rushed through with more numbers than they could hold, they didn't go down though they just got pushed back so there was a huge mass of men milling round the gate, with half of their troops pushed through onto my side. My catapult was about 10 metres away from the edge of their line which was focused on either, the troops of mine in front of them, or some where trying to climb my walls from my side of the gate (they'd pushed that far in they controlled it).

So my catapult was about 10 metres away from about 1500 of the enemy troops and about 150 of mine, it was placed also slightly to the side so it could fire directly at the enemy troops without hitting mine. I set them to attack the enemy troops and turned flaming ammuntion on. The unit only got off about 6 or 7 shots before my spears were killed and they were forced to abandon their engines. Each shot took out nearly 100 enemy troops. That's almost an entire unit a shot, you'd see a fireball streak through a body of troops sizzling about 20-30 before it exploded somewhere against a wall or a horse or a head or something, which of course only resulted in an explosion which took even more enemy soldiers with it...

That was a fun battle. :)

    Nice.

I have no screenshot, but highest I got so far was around 150 kills by 20 General's bodyguards.

I know this is about M2TW, but in Rome, I had 1 unit of praetorian cav kill 705 enemies, and in the same battle, 1 unit of roman cav killed 606. Mass rout, anyone...

In the origonal MTW , I had a unit of Katatanks get just a few shy of 1000 in one of those very long , defending verses multiple stacks big battles .
Most were probably captures , but they certainly laid a lot of smack down :D

I don't have a screenshot either, but I got about 500 kills with a 50 man strong generals bodyguard... charge, retreat, charge again, retreat, repeat.

Oh, I don't suppose prisoners count? I had one cavalry capture 1000+ while pursuing fleeing troops across a bridge, once.
