More seriously, I guess you've got yourself into what in Britain is known as a "reserved occupation". At a time when I was considering becoming a pharmacist its various plus-points included that reserved status ("get out of the war free") and a right to refuse jury service. Long story why I'm not a pharmacist after all, but I guess I'm a bit past it for call-up now, and I'd actually quite like to do jury service...
