I'm gonna' take a wild guess here and say they accepted, with pleasure. Your relations with them now are perfect I presume? Pheh, silly Walter Warner, trying to get some economy going for their very poor nation...
LOL ! That is freakin hilarious !
Hey are you playing on normal time scale or 0.5 ? Do you have an active eugenics programme for the family tree or did your Sultan get those stars in battle ?

Yeah, for those actually looking outside their computer and even outside their own country, they might have noticed that Turkey is in fierce negotiation in joining the EU. And being pretty much turned down too, but that is in their own hands really.. Anyways, OT..
It's not that hard to get those stars. In my first campaign, a general came of age with 4 stars. After campaigning 10 turns in Spain, he was 8 stars and as it was on 0,5 time scale, he was only 21 years old.Originally Posted by Sinan

It is my understanding that Cyprus is in the EU and Turkey does not even recognise that the nation of Cyprus exists, so they really had no chance.Originally Posted by Sir SillyDuck

I was joking about the sterling, but it holds true why it's a joke. That was the joke.
Anyway this is Backroom material... You get to see that OT forum when you have member status.
It's wise not to bring 'outside the computer' politics into the Citadel. It's not even allowed IIRC, so I won't be getting into this conversation any further. Final post from me on that topic

Sinan, about the Sterling: you are totally right about not wanting to give up the pound. Giving up the Guilder has cost the Dutch consumer a lot of money. Excuse me for not getting your joke.
Please don't brag about your member status will you? It isn't proper.
Sinan wasn't bragging about anything SSD, knowing him personally from a few years ago during MTWI's days I can confirm that is not the sort of person he is.Originally Posted by Sir SillyDuck

He isn't kidding either. I had membership within twenty posts.
