A little off topic, but how is SWAT 4? Is it worth buying for just the single player action? I really don't play online (I only have 1 computer with Internet, and it isn't good enough).

Sorry can't help you. Never really played SWAT 3 online... but I think it might be a problem finding players to play online as it's quite an old game of course. And because most players from SWAT 3 switched to SWAT 4...

@CountArach: SWAT 4 is a great game, also just as single player game. I also mostly played it single player, only online (coop) a couple of times. The missions are pretty tough so they'll keep you busy for a while. On top of that the tango's are always at other spots when you play through a mission again and respond differently almost every time, so it is also fun to replay missions again (to try get that 100% perfect score). And of course there is also an expansion pack out as well.
Bottom line; if you like tactical shooters and you see it - get it! You won't regret it. And it should be available at a low price by now... there's also a bundle with the expansion pack in it as well, so you might wanna check that one out as well!

Arach, I found SWAT 4 to be a good game. Hardcore SWAT veterans dislike it nowadays, but all old-guard types despise game changes. It has some annoying moments, like when the suspect shoots you dead-on and doesn't have his gun aimed yet, which occasionally happens.

As far as finding SWAT 3 players, you could try going to 10-david.com and asking around. They might have some get-togethers you could participate in.

Now there are much players. Its a shame with the new moddifications the players forgotten SWAT 3.

I have owned and played SWAT 3 for years, though never online. I just got SWAT 4 Gold Edition four days agos. I love the SP (though there are some things from SWAT3 that I miss, but that is inevitable with a sequel). I tried the MP, WOW!! My 56k connection could not handle that! With a ping of 999 I was booted from every game I joined, lol. Looks like I'll be sticking to SP on that.

Not a big punishment to get stuck with SWAT 4 SP indeed!
