    Default Hannibal99's (Patriarch's) Review: Battlefield 2142

Well, just coming back from playing BF2142, I decided to write a review.

Story: The story or plot of BF2142 is one of my favorites. The year is, well, 2142. The Pan Asian Coalition (PAC) has a growing need for grain to feed their people. Where to get it? North Africa. The only problem? The European Union. Europe is much different, all of Europe is covered in Ice (they never tell if the Americas or Asia was). North Africa is still the same, dry African terrain. The PAC then decides to declare war on the EU. SO they invade Europe. The EU tries holding the continent.

Gameplay: The gameplay is the same as any other BF game. You choose a specific class, and have a run and gun. The objectives vary: In conquest, you need to hold all or most checkpoints. You also need to drain the enemy reinforcement count. A new mode, Titan Mode, is (I think) only available on multiplayer. The objective in T Mode is to capture missle silos, which will drain the shields of the enemy Titan, a large ship. They continue to fire at the Titan until it is brung down. There is a faster way, however. Once the shields are down, you can jump on a air vehicle and launch pods and land on the Titan. From then on you raid the Titan's inner. You have to take out 4 consoles then a huge generator. Once the generator is destroyed, you have 20 seconds to jump off the Titan, or else you die in the explosion.

Graphics: Really the graphics haven't changed IMO. It looks better, but looks the same as BF2.

Sound: Same as graphics, better, but kind of the same (IMO).

    Brought down *cough cough*

    I loved the game.
Unlocks really have kept me going in the game, pushing me onward to greater heights. However, this seems to force players into certain areas, but this can create havoc on the battlefield. If a walker appears, you have to EMP the thing, then move under and rocket into the underbelly. Engineers are the only ones who have the rockets, but if your assault, then your screwed until someone with a rocket appears. This can prolong the game far longer than needed (in my view). Sentry guns are sorta like fire and forget. It has an insane line of sight, and fires away. Provides backup firepower, and can secure chokepoints.

Its a great game if you enjoyed BF2, just try to get a Christmas discount.

    Have you just been dumped?

I ask because it's usually something like that which causes outbursts like this, needless to say I dissagree completely.

Really somethings weird with mine. I get medals and got 47/40 one match. The match ends, I go to the main menu, but I don't rank up.

Medals only mean that you've killed X many people, repaired X many objects. It doesn't level you up, or unlock anything.

But don't you level up by raising that bar? I did and I can't level up
