Download problem...

I was downloading EB just a while ago (with a 56k modem) and it stopped after four...FOUR... hours of waiting. Anyway, it displayed a message stating that time was cut-off or something like that(this was from the EB server link in site's download page). Aside from that, most of the links from that page are also not showing up on IE 7. Most specifically kurimus.org, busecon.co.uk, 3d downloads, and file shack. Hope you can help me with this..

yeah, time cut offs are pretty annoying when you have a slow connection, you could try again with a download manager like getright so that when it cuts eventually you will wont lose your overall progress. seriously though downloading anything big on 56k is always going to be potentially troublesome.

if i were you i'd just wait until the next version is released before downloading. it should be released within a week. theres a lot of new content in it compared to the current one.

You do have a point there. It's just that I was able to download even bigger files using a 56k. Well, it's only a week so I guess I have to wait.=)

Ok, so I was able to download EB v0.7.2 and the patch. When I finished installing, I receive a message that there's an unknown event faction_defeated_by_player string(or something like that). i'm aware that it might be caused by a corrupt download(it says so in the faq). It's just that I also downloaded RTR and received the same message.

So, have the EB team checked the download sites yet? I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with them, like missing a few files or whatnot. Sorry to be a thorn in your side...

If it's happening with multiple mods, then it means that you've run into a problem with installing the RTW 1.2 patch. When you installed it using the official installer, did it come up with an error saying the patch was already installed?

If so, then the installer is messing up. Try downloading the .zip version of the patch from here. Unzip it over a fresh copy of RTW, and install EB over that.

Yep, I already tried doing that. The only thing left for me now would be to uninstall RTW and just wait for the 0.8 version. Hopefully I can then use RTW 1.5 without a problem! Thanks though.
